Have fun and learn – with GEOBowl!
GEOBowl is a fun and competitive event that brings regional middle-school teams together to compete in a fast-paced geography bee. The GEOBowl teams are composed of 4-5 students from each of the participating Philadelphia-area middle schools, who must correctly answer questions about… Geography!
The Philadelphia GEOBowl event is hosted by The Geographical Society of Philadelphia (GEO), an organization that promotes a deeper understanding of our complex global world through educational programs and speaker series.
GEO sponsors the GeoBowl to highlight the importance of geographic education in our schools today. The goal is to create an exciting educational experience that promotes geography, celebrates cultural understanding, and prepares students to be global citizens of our world. The winning school will take home the city’s GEOBowl trophy for the year!
