Annual Dinner 2016

Annual Dinner 2016
February 7, 2016 jllwbr8@gmail.com Annual Dinner
Where: Asia on the Parkway, 1700 Ben Franklin Parkway, Philadelphia
As you may have heard, Prince Charles stole our date for the scheduled Annual Dinner with Mark Evans because his HRH Prince Charles decided like us to honor Mark for his daring fete trekking across the Arabian Desert! We have a new exciting plan for our Annual Dinner that you won’t want to miss!
Come meet explorer extraordinaire, Eric Weihenmayer. Blind since a teenager, Eric has conquered more than just mountains (though he’s done that too, having climbed all of the Seven Summits!). As an accomplished climber, paraglider, skier and kayaker, Eric will share his unique “vision” of the world and amazing stories of adventure. Join us at Asia on the Parkway for a scrumptious feast, a glass of wine, and a personal chat with Eric Weihenmayer. Then cross the street to the Library for a presentation of his travels and new book, No Barriers as well as awarding of the Cecilia Beaux pin continuing GEO’s legacy of honoring the greatest of world explorers.
